ܒܩܫܝܫܐ ܠܐ ܬܓܥܘܪ ܐܠܐ ܐܦܝܣܝܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐܒܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐܚܝܟ
bqshysh' l' thgewr 'l' 'pysyhy 'yk dl'b' wl'ylyn dTlyn 'yk dl'khyk
Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

ܘܠܩܫܝܫܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܡܗܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐܚܘܬܟ ܒܟܠܗ ܕܟܝܘܬܐ
wlqshyshth' 'yk 'mhth' wl'ylyn dTlyn 'yk dl'khwthk bklh dkywth'
the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.

ܠܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܝܩܪ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܒܫܪܪܐ
l'rmlth' yqr l'ylyn d'rmlth' 'nyn bshrr'
Honor widows who are widows indeed.

ܘܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܒܢܝ ܒܢܝܐ ܢܐܠܦܘܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܕܒܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܗܘܢ ܢܙܕܕܩܘܢ ܘܢܦܪܥܘܢ ܚܘܒܠܐ ܠܐܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܗܕܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܩܒܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ
w'n 'yth 'rmlth' d'yth lh bny' 'w bny bny' n'lpwn lwqdm dbbny bythhwn nzddqwn wnprewn khwbl' l'bhyhwn hd' gyr mqbl' qdm 'lh'
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is
acceptable in the sight of God.

ܐܝܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܗܝ ܘܡܫܘܚܕܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܣܒܪܗ ܥܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܘܐܡܝܢܐ ܒܨܠܘܬܐ ܘܒܒܥܘܬܐ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܘܒܐܝܡܡܐ
'yd' dyn dshryr'yth 'rmlth' hy wmshwkhdth' hd' sbrh el 'lh' hw w'myn' btslwth' wbbewth' blly' wb'ymm'
Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

ܐܝܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܦܠܚܐ ܐܣܛܪܢܝܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܗܝ ܟܕ ܚܝܐ
'yd' dyn dplkh' 'sTrny' myth' hy kd khy'
But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܦܩܕ ܠܗܝܢ ܕܕܠܐ ܪܫܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
hlyn hwyth mpqd lhyn ddl' rshyn nhwyn
Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܝܠܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܝܨܦ ܗܢܐ ܟܦܪ ܠܗ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܝܫ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ
'n 'nsh gyr d'ylyn ddylh 'nwn wythyr'yth d'ylyn d'ythyhwn bny byth' dhymnwth' l' ytsp hn' kpr lh bhymnwth' wbysh hw mn 'ylyn dl' mhymnyn
But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

ܗܘܝܬ ܗܟܝܠ ܓܒܐ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܨܝܪܐ ܡܢ ܫܬܝܢ ܫܢܝܢ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܚܕ ܗܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܘܬ
hwyth hkyl gb' 'rmlth' 'yd' dl' btsyr' mn shthyn shnyn 'yd' dlkhd hw gbr' hwth
Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܐܢ ܪܒܝܬ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܢ ܩܒܠܬ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܐܢ ܐܫܝܓܬ ܪܓܠܝܗܘܢ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܐܢ ܐܪܘܚܬ ܠܐܠܝܨܐ ܐܢ ܗܠܟܬ ܒܟܠ ܥܒܕ ܛܒ
w'yth lh shdwth' debd' shpyr' 'n rbyth bny' 'n qblth 'ksny' 'n 'shygth rglyhwn dqdysh' 'n 'rwkhth l'lyts' 'n hlkth bkl ebd Tb
being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

ܡܢ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܐܫܬܐܠ ܡܨܛܪܝܢ ܠܗܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܥܠ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܒܥܝܢ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ
mn 'rmlth' dyn 'ylyn dTlyn 'shth'l mtsTryn lhyn gyr el mshykh' wbeyn lmhw' lgbr'
But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;

ܘܕܝܢܗܝܢ ܩܝܡ ܗܘ ܕܛܠܡ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܗܝܢ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ
wdynhyn qym hw dTlm hymnwthhyn qdmyth'
having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.

ܝܠܦܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܚܒܢܢܘܬܐ ܟܕ ܡܬܟܪܟܢ ܒܝܬ ܒܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܚܒܢܢܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܕܢܣܓܝܢ ܡܡܠܠܐ ܘܢܦܪܩܢ ܣܪܝܩܬܐ ܘܢܡܠܠܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܠܐ ܘܠܐ
ylpn dyn 'p khbnnwth' kd mthkrkn byth bth' wl' blkhwd khbnnwth' 'l' 'p dnsgyn mmll' wnprqn sryqth' wnmlln mdm dl' wl'
Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܢܙܕܘܓܢ ܘܢܐܠܕܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܘܢܕܒܪܢ ܒܬܝܗܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܠܢ ܠܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܐܦܠܐ ܚܕܐ ܥܠܬܐ ܕܨܘܚܝܬܐ
tsb' 'n' hkyl d'ylyn dTlyn nzdwgn wn'ldn bny' wndbrn bthyhyn wl' nthln lbeldbb' 'pl' khd' elth' dtswkhyth'
I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

ܥܠ ܕܗܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܫܪܝܘ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܠܡܣܛܐ ܒܬܪ ܣܛܢܐ
el dhsh' gyr shryw 'nsh 'nsh lmsT' bthr sTn'
For already some have turned away after Satan.

ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܐܘ ܡܗܝܡܢܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܢܬܪܣܘܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܐܩܪܢ ܥܠ ܥܕܬܐ ܕܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܬܣܦܩ
'n 'nsh mhymn' 'w mhymnth' 'yth lhwn 'rmlth' nthrswn 'nyn wl' n'qrn el edth' dl'ylyn d'rmlth' 'nyn dshrr' thspq
If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened; that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

ܩܫܝܫܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܡܬܕܒܪܝܢ ܠܐܝܩܪܐ ܥܦܝܦܐ ܢܫܘܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐܝܢ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܘܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ
qshysh' 'ylyn dshpyr mthdbryn l'yqr' epyp' nshwwn ythyr'yth 'ylyn dl'yn bmlth' wbywlpn'
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

ܐܡܪ ܓܝܪ ܟܬܒܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܒܠܘܡ ܬܘܪܐ ܒܕܪܟܬܐ ܘܫܘܐ ܗܘ ܦܥܠܐ ܐܓܪܗ
'mr gyr kthb' dl' thblwm thwr' bdrkth' wshw' hw pel' 'grh
For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And,
“The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

ܥܠ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܩܛܓܪܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܩܒܠ ܐܠܐ ܥܠ ܦܘܡ ܬܪܝܢ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܣܗܕܝܢ
el qshysh' qTgrnwth' l' thqbl 'l' el pwm thryn wthlth' shdyn
Don’t receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.

ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܛܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܟܠܢܫ ܟܘܢ ܕܐܦ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܕܚܠܘܢ
l'ylyn dkhTyn qdm klnsh kwn d'p shrk' d'nsh' ndkhlwn
Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

ܡܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܬܛܪ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܩܕܡ ܪܥܝܢܟ ܠܡܕܡ ܘܠܐ ܬܣܥܘܪ ܡܕܡ ܒܡܣܒ ܒܐܦܐ
mshd 'n' lk qdm 'lh' wmrn yshwe mshykh' wml'kwhy gby' dhlyn thTr wl' nthqdm reynk lmdm wl' thsewr mdm bmsb b'p'
I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

ܐܝܕܐ ܒܥܓܠ ܥܠ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܬܣܝܡ ܘܠܐ ܬܫܬܘܬܦ ܒܚܛܗܐ ܢܘܟܪܝܐ ܢܦܫܟ ܛܪ ܒܕܟܝܘܬܐ
'yd' begl el 'nsh l' thsym wl' thshthwthp bkhTh' nwkry' npshk Tr bdkywth'
Lay hands hastily on no one, neither be a participant in other men’s sins. Keep yourself pure.

ܘܡܟܝܠ ܡܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܫܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܚܡܪܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܗܘܝܬ ܫܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܐܣܛܘܡܟܟ ܘܡܛܠ ܟܘܪܗܢܝܟ ܐܡܝܢܐ
wmkyl my' l' thshth' 'l' khmr' qlyl hwyth shth' mTl 'sTwmkk wmTl kwrhnyk 'myn'
Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

ܐܝܬ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܕܚܛܗܝܗܘܢ ܝܕܝܥܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܡܩܕܡܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܒܝܬ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܒܬܪܗܘܢ ܐܙܠܝܢ
'yth bnynsh' dkhThyhwn ydyeyn 'nwn wmqdmyn lhwn lbyth dyn' w'yth dbthrhwn 'zlyn
Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܝܕܝܥܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܚܪܢܝܐܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܡܛܫܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ
hkn' 'p ebd' Tb' ydyeyn 'nwn w'ylyn d'khrny'yth 'nwn lmTsh' l' mshkkhyn
In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
